Wow, what a great speaker! Our very own Past President Jeff Schinkel showed us that Yes, We Can Draw! I have to admit, I think my drawings are destined for the auction at this year’s 30th Annual Elimination Raffle. Well… maybe not. More likely they’ll end up on Michelle’s classroom wall. She tells me she has the perfect “spot” for them.
Club Board Meetings
A reminder that our Board Meetings are being held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m., currently via Zoom. All club members are welcome to attend.
The Board is working on behalf of the entire club, and I encourage you to join us, listen in, ask questions, and see what is happening behind the scenes.
Fellowship Friday
A special thank you to JD and Lonna Eshelman for hosting this week’s Fellowship Friday. It was another wonderful opportunity to relax, laugh, enjoy good food, and spend time together outside of our regular Thursday meetings.
Fellowship is more than simply having a good time—although we certainly do that! It’s about building relationships, creating friendships, and getting to know the people we serve alongside. Service brings us together. Fellowship keeps us together. I hope you’ll join us at the next one!
Rotary Collaborative Impact Summit — September 19
On September 19th, District 5170 will host the Rotary Collaborative Impact Summit. This is a fantastic opportunity, especially for newer Rotarians, to connect with members from other clubs, learn more about Rotary, exchange ideas, and hear from an outstanding lineup of speakers.
One of the best things about Rotary is that we are part of something much bigger than our individual club. There are thousands of Rotarians throughout our district, all working to make a difference. Get outside of our club. Meet other Rotarians. Learn something new. Bring those ideas back to Niles.

Can every Niles Rotarian give at least $25 to The Rotary Foundation this year?
