Another great week is in the books! As we continue this Rotary year together, I want to thank everyone who continues to show up, get involved, and help make the Niles Rotary Club of Fremont such a special club.
Club Assembly — Now It’s Your Turn!
A big thank you to our Niles Rotary Leadership Team for taking the time at last week’s Club Assembly to share what they are doing for our club, their plans for the year, and—most importantly—how you can help. Now that you’ve heard from our leaders, I hope members will take the next step:
Join a committee!
You don’t have to chair it. You don’t have to know everything about it. You simply need to be willing to participate. Every successful Rotary project starts with members who are willing to raise their hand and say, “How can I help?” Find something you’re passionate about and get involved. You can be the difference maker.
Fellowship Friday
A special thank you to Paul and Gail Myers and Yvonne Flores for hosting this week’s Fellowship Friday. It was another great opportunity to relax, laugh, enjoy good food, and spend time together outside of our regular Thursday meetings. Fellowship is more than just having a good time—and we certainly do that! It’s about building relationships. When we know one another, we work better together. When we become friends, we become a stronger Rotary family. And when we enjoy being around one another, we’re more likely to invite others to join us.
Service brings us together. Fellowship keeps us together. If you haven’t attended a Fellowship Friday yet, make it a point to join us at the next one. You won’t regret it!
Rotarian of the Month
Each month, I’d like to recognize a member who has gone above and beyond for our club. Who have you noticed? If you see a Rotarian who has stood out through their service, leadership, kindness, participation, or simply by stepping up when needed, let me know. I want to hear about them!
Rotary Collaborative Impact Summit — September 19th
On September 19th, District 5170 will host the Rotary Collaborative Impact Summit. This is a fantastic opportunity—especially for newer Rotarians—to meet members from other clubs, learn more about Rotary, exchange ideas, and hear from an outstanding lineup of speakers.
One of the best things about Rotary is that we are much bigger than our individual club. There are thousands of Rotarians in our district, all working to make a difference. Get outside of our club. Meet other Rotarians. Learn something new. Bring those ideas back to Niles.
Share Rotary
I want to continue challenging every member to Share Rotary.
* Tell someone what we do.
* Invite someone to lunch.
* Bring a guest to a meeting.
* Invite someone to a service project or Fellowship Friday.
You never know which invitation might introduce someone to an organization that changes their life. And remember, sharing Rotary doesn’t always mean recruiting a new member. It means helping people understand what Rotary stands for and the difference Rotarians are making every day.

This week, we get to hear from one of our very own—Past President Jeff Schinkel! Jeff is going to show us that Yes, You Can Draw! I have a feeling this may be one of those meetings where we discover talents we didn’t know we
had. Come ready to learn, participate, and maybe even surprise yourself!
Serving All Mankind
Our theme this year is Serving All Mankind. Let’s continue to live it—not just in our service projects, but in how we treat one another, how we welcome new members, how we support our community, and how we strengthen Rotary for
the future. Show up. Get involved. Share Rotary. Build friendships. Give back. And most importantly, let’s continue to have some fun while we’re doing it!
