Fellowship Friday
It was an honor to host Fellowship Friday at our home this past week! I want to start by thanking First Lady Michelle for putting together a delicious spread. A huge thank you to everyone who was able to join us, to those who brought snacks and drinks, and especially to everyone who participated in our Spin-the-Wheel game. And let’s not forget the great, amazing, spectacular prizes! I think a few people may have left wondering how they could get invited to our next Fellowship Friday! These gatherings are exactly what fellowship is all about; getting outside of our regular Thursday meeting, spending time together, laughing, making memories, and strengthening the friendships that make our club special.
Rotary Collaborative Impact Summit – September 19
I hope to see you there! This Saturday, September 19th, District 5170 will host the Rotary Collaborative Impact Summit, and I strongly encourage everyone to attend; especially our newer Rotarians. This is a great opportunity to connect with Rotarians from other clubs, learn more about Rotary, exchange ideas, and hear from an outstanding lineup of speakers. One of the best
things about Rotary is remembering that we are part of something much bigger than our own club. There are thousands of Rotarians throughout District 5170, all working together to make a difference. Get outside of our club. Meet other Rotarians. Learn something new. Bring those ideas back to our club.
Service Projects — Showing Up for Our Community
Our service doesn’t stop with our own Rotary projects. This past Saturday, and continuing for the next two Saturdays, our members will be out in the community helping other organizations with their events. These are wonderful opportunities to show up for Fremont, support organizations doing great work, and let our community see the Niles Rotary Club of Fremont in action. Every time we volunteer, wear our Rotary shirts, hand someone a Rotary card, or simply tell someone about what our club does, we help build awareness of Rotary and the difference we can make together. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time, provided financial support, or helped behind the scenes. Every contribution matters. This is what our theme, Serving All
Mankind, is all about; looking beyond ourselves, supporting our community, and finding opportunities to serve wherever we can.
