President
The Club President serves as the chief executive officer and general manager of the club and provides overall leadership, direction, and oversight for all club operations, activities, committees, and strategic goals. The President is responsible for ensuring the club functions effectively, fulfills its mission of service, and operates in accordance with club bylaws and the principles of Rotary International.
The President presides over all club and Board meetings and works closely with officers, directors, committee chairs, and members to promote fellowship, membership growth, community service, and Rotary engagement.
President-Elect
The Club President-Elect serves as the primary support to the Club President and prepares to assume the role of Club President in the following Rotary year. The President-Elect assists with leadership, planning, club operations, and strategic goals while helping ensure continuity and long-term success for the club.
In addition, the President-Elect serves as Chair of the club’s Annual Fundraiser and plays a key leadership role in coordinating and supporting major club initiatives and events
Immediate Past President, Social Committee Director
The Club Social Chair is responsible for promoting fellowship, friendship, and member engagement through social and recreational activities for the club. This position helps strengthen relationships among members and creates enjoyable opportunities for connection outside of regular club meetings.
Traditionally chaired by the Immediate Past President, the Social Chair works closely with club leadership and members to organize events that foster camaraderie, strengthen club culture, and encourage active participation in Rotary fellowship.
Service Community Chair
The Service Community Chair leads the planning, organization, and execution of community and humanitarian service projects for the club. This position helps identify meaningful opportunities for the club to serve local communities while promoting Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self.”
The Service Projects Chair works closely with the Club President, Board of Directors, Foundation Chair, Public Image Committee, community organizations, and volunteers to maximize the impact of club service efforts and ensure projects are effectively managed and aligned with the club’s goals and budget.
Treasurer
The Club Treasurer serves as the club’s Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, records, reporting, and funds of the club. The Treasurer ensures the club’s finances are managed responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with club bylaws, club policies, Board policies, and accepted accounting practices.
The Treasurer works closely with the Club President, Board of Directors, committee chairs, and financial institutions to maintain the financial health and integrity of the club.
Secretary
The Club Secretary serves as the primary administrative officer of the club and is responsible for maintaining accurate club records, membership information, meeting documentation, attendance reporting, and official communications with Rotary International and the Rotary District. The Secretary helps ensure the club operates efficiently, remains compliant with Rotary reporting requirements, and maintains organized historical and operational records.
The Secretary may delegate certain tasks to an Assistant Secretary; however, the Secretary remains ultimately responsible for ensuring all duties are completed accurately and on time.
Club Administrator
The Rotary Club Administrator is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the club, ensuring effective communication, organization, and member engagement. This role involves supporting the President, the Board and Committee members to in their established goals and activities by coordinating various logistical and administrative tasks.
This role reports to the President, manages and assists the Sergeant-at-Arms, Communication Chair and Social Chair if needed.
Membership Chair
The Club Membership Chair is responsible for leading the club’s membership growth, engagement, and retention efforts. This role helps strengthen the club by attracting qualified new members, supporting current member satisfaction and involvement, and ensuring that membership processes are conducted professionally and in accordance with Rotary guidelines, club bylaws, and club policies.
The Membership Chair works closely with the Club President, Board of Directors, and club members to build a vibrant, diverse, and active Rotary membership.
Communications Chair
The Club Communications Chair is responsible for overseeing and promoting effective communication of the club’s business, activities, service projects, accomplishments, community involvement, and Rotary education to both club members and the public. This role helps strengthen fellowship within the club while increasing awareness, understanding, and support for Rotary throughout the community.
The Communications Chair also serves as the club’s Public Image lead, helping maintain a consistent, professional, and positive image of both the club and Rotary International.
Parliamentarian
The Club Parliamentarian Chair serves as an advisor to the Club President, Board of Directors, and membership on matters relating to club bylaws, club policies, meeting procedures, governance, and parliamentary process. The Parliamentarian helps ensure club meetings and Board meetings are conducted fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with the club’s governing documents and accepted parliamentary procedure.
This position also performs additional duties as assigned by the Club President or Board of Directors.
Community Services
The Club Service Community Chair leads the planning, organization, and execution of community and humanitarian service projects for the club. This position helps identify meaningful opportunities for the club to serve local communities while promoting Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self.”

This position works to strengthen Rotary’s commitment to youth development through programs that encourage leadership, service, education, citizenship, and personal growth.
The Youth Service Chair works closely with schools, youth organizations, club leadership, district Rotary programs, and community partners to create meaningful opportunities for youth engagement and support.
International Service Chair
The Club International Service Chair leads the club’s efforts to promote international understanding, goodwill, peace, and humanitarian service through global service projects and partnerships. This position helps connect the club with international Rotary initiatives and encourages member involvement in projects that address humanitarian needs around the world.
The International Service Chair works closely with the Club President, Rotary Foundation Chair, district leaders, partner clubs, and community organizations to identify and support meaningful international service opportunities aligned with the mission of Rotary International.
React Chair
REACT stands for Rotary Environmental Action Team. As leader of this Environmental Service Committee, the REACT Chair works closely with the Club President, Community Service Chair, and local public and social organizations. Together, they identify projects and initiatives supporting Rotary’s seventh area of focus: the protection and conservation of natural resources and our environment.
Rotary International Foundation Chair
The Club Rotary Foundation Chair leads the club’s efforts to support and promote the programs, mission, and fundraising goals of The Rotary Foundation. This position works closely with the Club President, District Rotary Foundation leadership, and club members to encourage Foundation participation, charitable giving, and involvement in Rotary grant opportunities and humanitarian projects.
The Foundation Chair helps educate members about the impact of the Rotary Foundation locally and globally while supporting the club’s service mission through Foundation programs and grants.
Niles Rotary Foundation President
The President leads the effort to support and promote the programs, mission, and fundraising goals of The Niles Rotary Foundation. This position works closely with the Club President, leadership of both the Niles Rotary Club and the Niles Rotary Foundation, and club members to encourage charitable giving, and involvement in Rotary grant opportunities and projects.
The Rotary Foundation President also leads the Board’s efforts to maintain and grow the Niles Rotary Foundation Endowment Fund, to ensure that Niles Rotary can continue to pay for important club projects and charitable initiatives for years to come.
Sergeant-at-Arms
The Club Sergeant-at-Arms is responsible for helping maintain order, professionalism, and a positive atmosphere during club meetings and events. This position supports the Club President by assisting with meeting operations, member engagement, meeting decorum, and general meeting logistics.
The Sergeant-at-Arms performs duties customarily associated with the role and any additional responsibilities assigned by the Club President or Board of Directors.
Speaker Chair
The Speaker Chair primary focus is to identify and recruit quality guest speakers for weekly club meetings in coordination with the Club President and Board of Directors.
