“The Niles Rotary Reverse Raffle was a brilliant success and one of the outstanding measures of generosity and care was the Fund-A-Need. This year’s project was the Matibabu Women/Children’s Hospital in Western Kenya. A whopping $24,650 was raised in a brief but superb auctioneering moment. Although the starting request was $10,000, this higher amount actually meets the MedShare requirement to send a 40 foot container of medical supplies and equipment all the way to Mombasa. This can allow a stand alone hospital to cover its operating expenses and provide badly needed care to a very large population. Niles Rotary – you rock!“ Rich Godrey.
A big hand to Dr. Rich Godfrey of our club and the many years of dedication and effort that he diligently and persistently shows – what a wonderful outcome Rich! Rich, YOU ROCK!

Rotary International is making a push to end Polio Now! They have requested that members from around the globe put in donations to help. Our District has decided to go above the $25 requested and do $30 per member. To donate to this cause right now, click HERE, sign in and make your one time donation. You can read all about it with the Rotary International Brochure and see that for every $1 a Rotarian gives, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will donate $2. This is a great opportunity to end this disease – please be a part and support this campaign.Niles Rotary Chairperson: Ray Pedersen
